Steven Vatchev, a senior at the Morris County School of Technology in Denville, this month scored his record-setting 1,000th point for the MCST boy's basketball team. He accomplished the feat during the second quarter of the game against Vernon High School on Feb. 6.

A four-year starter at center for MCST, Steven is the first thousand point scorer in the school's basketball history, and also is closing in on 1,000 rebounds, as well.

Steve is a Butler resident and student at MVCTS's Academy for Design. Congratulations on your accomplishment!

The MCTS boys basketball team is in action again in a home game in Denville on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 5:30 p.m., versus Warren County Tech.

On Friday, Feb. 24, they face Sussex County Technical School in a game to be played in Sparta.
