Employee Productivity Will Make or Break Your Organization

This unique Excel training, which is fully reimbursable, is designed to fill skills gaps, build confidence and increase initiative to improve work effectiveness.

Businesses, the time is now to supercharge your workforce through this free virtual, instructor-led training opportunity. Employees will advance their skills and have an opportunity to become a recognized specialist – receiving a Microsoft Excel badge and certification.

Your local area Workforce Development Board (WDB) is supporting employee skills advancement and certification (if desired) to help your organization position itself for success, keep up to date with technology advances and to be consistently competitive in the challenging global economy.

An agreement for training reimbursement will be put in place following registration.

Employer pays the $499 per person training fee up front.

Reimbursement is provided based on successful program completion – receipt of a certificate of program completion. Certificate of completions are awarded to individuals who demonstrate a minimum of 80% attendance and completion of projects (brief weekly assignments which reinforce learnings). There is no limit to the number of employees that you can enroll. 

Learning Outcomes

Through virtual, instructor-led training and weekly workplace projects, individuals will demonstrate on the job proficiency in:

  • Creating and managing worksheets and workbooks
  • Managing data cells and ranges
  • Creating tables
  • Performing operations with formulas and functions (IF, Nested)
  • Creating charts and objects
  • Increasing workplace productivity and efficiency using new Excel tools

Program taught by a Microsoft certified instructional expert.

Who Should Attend?

Individuals wishing to learn new ways to manipulate data more efficiently. Excel tools continuously update. This training will expand your knowledge to move beyond using only what you are accustomed to. You will learn new ways to complete assignments quicker and reduce errors. Program includes Microsoft Excel Specialist certification voucher (with one free retake) for those interested.

  • Equipment required: Computer/laptop with Excel 2016 and Internet
  • Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of Excel (open/create a spreadsheet).
  • Individual must be employed for a minimum of six months or if employer enrolls multiple employees, their average employment time must be at least six months.

All classes are virtual, instructor-led and will be very hands-on. Therefore, classes are capped at 15 attendees. Classes fill quickly – Don’t delay!

Reimbursement Process

Reimbursement requests may be submitted with copy of Certificate of Completion. Training provider will provide Certificate of Completion based on a minimum of 80% participant attendance and completion of projects.
