Randolph Township Roadwork Project Scheduled Through September
Preparatory work for the milling and resurfacing of Sussex Turnpike (CR 617) from Dover Chester Road to West Hanover Avenue in Randolph Township will begin on Monday, Aug. 10, 2026.
Work related to the project will continue throughout August, with milling and paving operations scheduled to begin after schools reopen in early September.
Standard work hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some work occurring between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. All work is anticipated to be completed by Sept. 21, 2026, weather permitting.
Motorists should expect temporary traffic impacts throughout the project. Traffic will be maintained through the work zone, but delays are possible. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
The project is funded through the New Jersey Department of Transportation's Local Aid Program and managed by Morris County. Riverview Paving Inc. has been contracted to complete the work.
