Morris Chamber Hosts Virtual "Racing Toward a Vaccine" Tuesday

Panel Features Leaders in the State's Life Science Business Community

The Morris County Chamber of Commerce and the Morris County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC) will host a "Racing Toward a Vaccine " via Zoom, an update on the efforts by New Jersey's life sciences business community to develop a vaccine for COVID-19.

The call will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 29, from noon-1 p.m. The event is open to both members and nonmembers of the chamber and is free to attend. To register, visit the website.

The call will offer a panel discussion of how the state's life sciences companies €“ comprising biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical technology, medical device and diagnostics businesses €“ are leading the way toward development of COVID vaccines, therapeutics and testing.

Featured speakers will include John Patrick Oroho, executive vice president and chief strategy officer at Porzio Life Sciences; Ed Harnaga, vice president of R&D Corporate Affairs at Pfizer Inc.; Dr. Pedro Ridriguez, national manager of medical scientific affairs at Roche Diagnostics Corporation; and Dean Paranicas, president and CEO of HealthCare Institute of New Jersey.

The chamber will host a free webinar on Wednesday, Sept. 30 on how workplace diversity increases revenue.
