Since 2016, Meghan has served as Executive Director of the Morris County Economic Development Corporation, a division of the Chamber of Commerce. The Economic Development Corporation helps local companies, business owners, and entrepreneurs navigate and tap into the many local, regional, state, and federal resources for business assistance.

The Chamber of Commerce made the following statement on Hunscher's selection:

"As Chair and Vice Chair of your Board of Directors, we are pleased to announce the selection of Meghan Hunscher as our new chamber president effective January 1, 2019.

"Our organization has conducted a six month search process to replace Paul Boudreau that was led by Ed Ahart, Partner, Schenck, Price, Smith & King LLP. He chaired a committee of nine senior executives who worked diligently to evaluate and interview close to 40 candidates for the president's position and they unanimously recommended Meghan to be our new president.

"Since 2016, Meghan has served as Executive Director of the Morris County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC), a division of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce. She has increased membership and funding for the organization and worked closely with municipal leaders and other constituencies in Morris County and across our state on strategic economic development initiatives.

"Meghan holds a master's degree in City & Regional Planning with a concentration in Economic Development from the University of Pennsylvania, where she also received her undergraduate degree with honors in Urban Studies. She has consulted for both municipal and private clients as a licensed Professional Planner and also served as Principal Planner, Zoning Officer and Economic Development liaison for the Township of Montville before joining MCEDC.

"Our Board and Chamber staff want to thank Paul Boudreau for his ten years of service as our president. We are ready to support Meghan and all Chamber members as we work to retain and add businesses to our community and grow our Morris County economy in the years ahead.
