This will be the third MUA Drop-Off event this year and the first in the northeastern section of the county. The June 3 and Sept. 23 events occurred at the county's Public Safety Academy grounds in Parsippany.

The goal is to provide a safe and convenient method for residents from all 39 Morris County municipalities safely and properly discard unwanted hazardous household products, and recycle electronic equipment that has accumulated in their homes.

This is a rain or shine event.

  • Oct. 28: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pequannock Valley Park, Marvin Road, Pompton Plains, NJ 07444 (between Alexander Ave and Village Road)

These events are designed to provide county residents with a free and relatively easy opportunity to properly dispose of items that can be harmful to the environment, and which should not find their way into the regular trash disposal stream,'' said Morris County Freeholder Christine Myers.
