Morris County residents looking for part-time employment over the next several months are encouraged to consider applying for jobs connected to the upcoming U.S. Census.(PNG, 9KB)
The Census Bureau is recruiting to fill hundreds of temporary positions across the state and Morris County region, including field supervisors, recruiting assistants, clerks, and office operations personnel.
The Bureau is particular seeking people to be census takers, going door-to-door to get census information from county residents who do not fill out the census forms that are mailed to them. The hours are flexible and the pay is $21 per hour.
Available jobs will last at least eight weeks, starting in March or April, and with a good possibility of time period extensions.
Census takers will be offered extra income, flexible hours, weekly pay, and paid training.
