Morris County Library: Free Movies in July on Friday Afternoons

You are invited to the Morris County library's free screenings of recent blockbusters films and independent movies for adults on Fridays at 2 p.m. in July.

Films are free and on a first-come, first-served basis. All showings are in the public meeting room. So check the schedule and come on in.

Films for adults include:
  • July 6: Black Panther, Marvel Universe: The King of Wakanda rises to the throne in the isolated, technologically advanced African nation but his claim is challenged by a vengeful outsider who was a childhood victim of the king's father's mistake. Starring Chadwick Boseman; Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyongo. Superhero adventure. (PG-13, 2 hrs & 14 mins, 2017)
  • July 13: Murder on the Orient Express, When a murder occurs on the train he's travdlling on, celebrated detective Hercule Poirot is recruited to solve the case. Starring Kenneth Branagh, Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Willem DaFoe. Mystery. (PG-13, 1 hr & 54 mins, 2017)
  • July 20: Hostiles, In 1892, a legendary Army captain reluctantly agress to escort a Cheyenne chief and his family through dangerous territory. Starring Christian Bale, Rosamund Pike, Wes Studi and Ben Foster. Western Drama. (R, 2 hrs & 14 mins, 2017)
  • June 22: Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi, Rey develops her newly discovered abilities with the guidance of Luke Skywalker, who is unsettled by the strength of her powers. Meanwhile, the Resistance prepares for battle with the First Order. Starring Daisy Ridley, Mark Hamill, Johnny Boyega, Laura Dern, Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver. Sci-Fi Adventure.
