Morris County Planning Office Creates Municipal Profiles for All 39 County Towns

Published on February 27, 2019

Joint Project with Morris County Economic Development Corp.

The Morris County Office of Planning and Preservation has created unique 2019 profiles of all 39 Morris County municipalities as part of a joint marketing effort with the Morris County Economic Development Corporation.

The EDC sought the profiles for marketing purposes as part of its continuing effort to bring new businesses and jobs to the county, or help keep existing employers here.

Each four-page municipal profile, created in an attractive and colorful format, includes sections on demographics, land use, and housing, economic indicators, education, and crime.

How many people over 65 live in your town? What is the unemployment rate? Crime rate in your town versus the county as a whole and the state? These are just some of the at-your-fingertip facts compiled by the county Planning and Preservation Office for the new profiles.

The 39 profiles are posted on the Office of Planning and Preservation's website. Take a look at the data for your town. Visit https://planning.morriscountynj.gov/data/ and scroll down to Municipal Profile Sheets.''
