Resolution of Honor Presented to 2021 President at Annual Luncheon

The Morris County Board of County Commissioners paid tribute to the Morris County Police Chiefs Association at its annual luncheon where an official resolution was presented to the organization’s 2021 president.

Commissioner Director Stephen H. Shaw presented the Morris County Resolution of Honor to Mount Olive Police Chief Stephen Beecher, who served as president of the Police Chiefs Association throughout 2021. The association installed its new president, Washington Township Chief of Police Jeffrey Almer, at the luncheon, held Dec. 14 at the Park Savoy Estate in Florham Park.

The Commissioners’ resolution noted Beecher has spent more than three decades in law enforcement, joining the Mount Olive Police Department in 1987 after working at the Morris County Youth Center and with State of New Jersey’s then Division of Youth and Family Services. Beecher had previously served the Chiefs Association in various roles, including as secretary, sergeant at arms and vice president.
