Published on January 29, 2018
Wagon Rides, Farm Animals, Ice Harvesting, Farm Chores, and More. A Pre-Super Bowl Family Adventure

(, 0B)This Sunday, Feb. 4, from 12 noon to 4 p.m., take a fun, outdoor, family adventure to experience traditional farm life of the early 20th century at the Morris County Park Commission's Fosterfields Living Historical Farm in Morris Township.
Climb aboard the open-air, tractor-pulled wagon for a ride around the farm; stop by the barnyard to meet the Jersey cows and other farm animals; learn about ice harvesting; and help with daily farm chores, such as sawing and working with wood.

Most importantly, break out of the cabin fever feeling a bit and enjoy the outdoors. And, don't worry, if a chill gets you, take a break from the chill by visiting the cozy Farmhouse where seasonal foods are cooking on the wood-burning cook stove.
Also, you can stop by the Visitors Center to make a family-friendly craft, and check out the Transportation Exhibit to see Charles Foster's Rockaway carriage and Caroline Foster's Model €˜T' Ford and Hupmobile. Be sure to try out all of the interactive displays.
Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors (65+), $6 for children ages 4-to-16, $4 for children ages 2 and 3, and FREE for children under age 2. Friends members are half price with a current membership card.
