Morris Prosecutor: Mt. Olive Teacher Charged with Stalking a Student

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp, Acting Chief of Investigations Chris Kimker, and Mount Olive Police Chief Stephen Beecher announce the arrest of Mount Olive High School teacher Tajinder Tung, 47, of Stewartsville, N.J.(, 0B)

An investigation disclosed that between 2017 and May, 2019, the defendant, who was employed as a teacher at the high school, had stalked a student and committed acts that constituted a course of alarming conduct, both inside and outside of the school.

The defendant was charged by with Stalking, a fourth-degree crime, and Harassment, which is a petty disorderly persons offense.

Mr. Tung will be committed to the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing in Superior Court.
