Accident Occurred at the Intersection of Route 10 and Millbrook Avenue in Randolph
On Monday night (May 20) at 9:01 p.m., a Randolph Police vehicle was involved in a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 10 and Millbrook Avenue in Randolph.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that the Randolph Police vehicle was struck while responding to an unrelated emergency call. A third vehicle also was impacted during the collision. The Randolph Police Department officer and one of the other motorists were transported for medical treatment, however it does not appear that any of the injuries were life threatening.
No additional information will be released at this time, including the identity of persons involved and extent of injuries sustained by the individuals, as the investigation is ongoing. No criminal charges have been filed.
This matter is being investigated by the Randolph Police Department, the Morris County Sheriff's Office €“ Crime Scene Investigation Unit, and the Morris County Prosecutor's Office €“ Major Crimes Unit.
