(JPG, 17KB)Good morning,
We continued our dialogue with JCP&L throughout the weekend, and we will continue to do so until power for all of our Morris County residents, schools, and businesses has been restored.
At the time of this communication, we have 1,821 JCP&L customers without power in 22 Morris County municipalities. The top seven municipalities without power are as follows:
The remaining 15 municipalities have fewer than 5 and no more than 27 without power.
We continue to monitor the coastal storm that will start in our area this evening and continue into Tuesday morning. The current forecast data suggests that we may experience rain with wet snow late this evening before we see a changeover to all snow (light intensity) into early Tuesday morning.
Temperatures during the snowfall are expected to be in the area of 32 degrees, which will create highly variable pavement coverage with some of the lower elevations not seeing the need for plowing.
Higher elevations (i.e. hills, etc.) will likely see higher snow accumulations. At this time, the models show a one-to-three-inch range for our area. We will continue to monitor.
Have a GREAT day!
