Two Programs Help Vets Who Have Fallen on Hard Times
Hope for Veterans has immediate openings in two transitional housing programs for homeless veterans from Morris County in need of a clinical treatment program or bridge housing program. The program is located on the campus of Lyons VA in Basking Ridge, just across the border in Somerset County.

Nationwide, homelessness among veterans is on the rise; often veterans are unaware of the aid that is offered by the VA for transitional housing programs and assistance with locating permanent housing.
9 Month Clinical Treatment Program
- For veterans with a mental health or substance use disorder diagnosis which facilitates community integration and continuity of care.
- Veterans meet with their Licensed Clinician at least weekly and are expected to participate in Individual and group counseling
3 Month Bridge Housing Program
- For veterans with pre-identified permanent housing destinations.
- Veterans meet with their Case Manager at least weekly to focus on any outstanding issues that need to be addressed while transitioning into their permanent housing destination.
Both programs offer, but are not limited to:
- Access to employment & education resources, and assistance with benefits and entitlements.
- Permanent housing planning, housing search support, and counseling in budgeting skills to enhance financial self-sufficiency.
