Morris County OEM logo(JPG, 17KB)The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Morris County based on a coastal storm beginning tonight. This storm is anticipated to bring widespread rain and gusty winds to our area. It is possible that we will experience localized poor drainage and/or roadway flooding.

Current weather mapping data suggests that we may see rain this evening between 10 p.m. and midnight with the rain starting off light with the intensity gradually increasing to moderate and even heavy at times.

The rain is expected to continue through much of the day Saturday. It is possible that the rain could let up in the area of 12 noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, but at the time of this report, we do not see any clear breaks. The rain will likely continue into late Saturday night with dry conditions arriving early Sunday morning. Sunday looks like a dry day.

Total rainfall Saturday looks to be in the one to two-inch range.
