Published on February 21, 2019
A special benefit music performance for injured Mt. Arlington Police Sgt. James "Jimmy'' Distasio, featuring the band Street Hassle, is scheduled for this Saturday Night, Feb. 23, at the Stanhope House in Stanhope.
(, 0B) Sgt. James Distasio
Sgt. Distasio, one of Mt. Arlington's finest, was seriously injured while on duty when he was struck by a vehicle on Howard Boulevard in the borough in December.
He has always been the first on line for his community and now needs the community's support more than ever. Please join his friends, members of the Mt. Arlington PD, and the folks at the Stanhope House on Saturday for a night to give back to him.
Street Hassle is a "Powerful Horn Band." With a 6 piece horn section and female vocalists in tow, their music style varies from classic rock, blues, funk, and R&B. The band has opened for Steppenwolf, Blood Sweat & Tears and the Chapin Family, among others.
The Stanhope House is located at 45 Main Street in Stanhope, right across the Morris county border from Netcong.
