Detours Anticipated for a Week to Complete Railroad Crossing Upgrade
Morris County announced today that work will begin Monday, Oct. 5, to improve a railroad crossing at North Road in Mount Olive, requiring the road to be closed for a week.
(JPG, 7KB)The road closure will begin 7 a.m., Monday, as work begins to remove the existing railroad crossing and replace it with a new concrete crossing that will include new asphalt approaches.
The $473,500 project is being funded through the New Jersey Department of Transportation's Highway-Railroad Grade Crossing Program.
Traffic will be detoured via Park Place and Main Street.
