Morristown Parking Authority Maintenance Project to Begin Tomorrow

The Morristown Parking Authority (MPA) announced that, beginning tomorrow, June 30, it will temporarily close the Schuyler Place entrance and exit to the Ann/Bank Garage in Morristown to accommodate concrete repairs and the application of a protective seal to the parking facility. The MPA advisory noted an alternative access and egress is available for the parking deck via the Bank Street entrance and exit.

Closure Schedule

  • Schuyler Place Exit: Closes at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30.
  • Schuyler Place Entrance: Closes at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30.
  • Both are expected to reopen on Monday, July 6 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

Garage Access/Egress

  • The Ann/Bank Garage will remain open and accessible throughout the project via the Bank Street entrance and exit.

On June 30:

  • Vehicles may continue entering the garage from Schuyler Place until 6 p.m.
  • Vehicles will not be able to exit via Schuyler Place after 6 a.m. and should instead use the Bank Street exit.
  • Pedestrian access through Schuyler Place will remain available until 6 p.m. After that time, pedestrians should use the stair tower at Ann Street & Bank Street or the Bank Street stair tower.

Retail Parking

  • The two-hour retail parking spaces adjacent to Schuyler Place will be unavailable June 30 through July 5.
  • Temporary retail customer parking will be available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Ann Street Senior Center in designated spaces for Mindy’s Munchies and Kirshenbaum Baking Co. customers.
  • Additional Retail Parking is available at Dalton Garage on Cattano Avenue.
  • The following businesses offer parking validation for customers using the Dalton Garage. Visit the store for more details:
    • Mindy’s Munchies
    • The Grand Cafe
    • Kirshenbaum Baking Co.
