SIGNS OF SPRING WALK, April 16 and April 19

Spring signs are popping up all along the trails! Come explore to see what animals and plants are appearing after the months of winter cold. Cost: $10 per family.

FOREST BATHING, April 17 at Bamboo Brook, April 18 at Frelinghuysen Arboretum

Rich Collins, ANFT Guide, will lead groups on a combination of Japanese oriented walking, meditation, mindfulness, and wellness promotion. Wear comfortable shoes for walking. Cost: $20 per person.

LUNCH AND LEARN: THE DIRT ON TOMATOES, April 22

It’s almost time to put tomatoes in the ground. Learn tricks on how to grow a bumper crop, what all the fuss is about heirlooms, and what to look for at the nursery when buying plants. Cost: $10 per person.

IN-PERSON HOME SCHOOL DAYS: SPRING SPOTTING, April 22

Phenology is the study of seasonal change in nature. Record the changes that you see as you walk the trails with a naturalist, and compare them to the arrival of the same phenomena in years past. Learn to keep a record of the changes that spring brings and how to become a part of a phenology citizen science project! Check it out! Cost: $10 per person. Preregistration is required.

SPRING GOLDEN HOUR PHOTOGRAPHY April 25

Fosterfields farm is in bloom and spring is officially in full swing. Join staff at sunrise as golden hour begins and take photos of the new crops, new farm babies, and the landscape as the farm reinvents itself for the spring season. Amateur and professional photographers are invited to this unique morning experience to photograph the beauty of the farm. Cost: $20 per person.

It’s time for a haircut! Visit Fosterfields and watch master shearer Margaret Quinn demonstrate how to properly shear a sheep the old-fashioned way. Space is limited! Cost: $10 per family.
