The Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders offer our deepest sympathy to the family of longtime Parsippany Mayor Mimi Letts, a devoted public servant who regrettably passed away this week.
(JPG, 8KB)Mimi was committed to her town and to her county community, always striving to make Parsippany and Morris County a better place to live and work. She had unique political and personal skills, which included kindness and friendship, which made her a very special leader and person.
She also was a role model for women in Morris County, serving three terms as the first female mayor of the county's most populous town, and later served on key countywide and regional boards and agencies, such as the Highlands Council and the Morris Tomorrow countywide think tank.
We regret the passing of Mimi Letts and offer our condolences to her husband, Howard, and her family. May she rest in peace.
Visitation for Mimi Letts will be held on Wednesday at the Par-Troy Funeral Home at 95 Parsippany Road in Parsippany.
