New Clerk of the Board Brings Nearly Two Decades of Municipal Government Experience
Please join us in welcoming Michele Reilly as Morris County's new Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners.
Michele officially joined Morris County on May 19, 2026, and assumed the role of clerk of the board on July 1, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of longtime Clerk of the Board Debra Lynch.
Michele brings 18 years of municipal government experience, nearly a decade of which was spent as Jefferson Township clerk. There, she served as secretary to the governing body and managed a wide range of statutory responsibilities, including maintaining official records, administering elections, overseeing public notices, processing Open Public Records Act requests and municipal licensing.
A Registered Municipal Clerk (RMC) and Certified Municipal Registrar (CMR), Michele is widely respected for her professionalism, expertise and dedication to public service. We are excited to have her join the Morris County family and look forward to the knowledge and experience she brings to the Board of County Commissioners.
Welcome to Morris County, Michele! We are thrilled to have you with us and wish you continued success in your new role.
