Public Health
We are pleased to share Morris County's Community Health Assessment (CHA) and Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP), which identify key health needs and priorities within our community. These documents were developed through a collaborative, data-driven process designed to guide local health initiatives and promote long-term wellness for all residents. This project was funded by the Morris Regional Public Health Partnership (MRPHP) and conducted with the support from the staff and students at The College of New Jersey.
The Morris County Division of Public Health in partnership with the Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority (MCMUA) continues to offer free lead testing for consumer items on a quarterly basis. The next event will be Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Morris County Library. Check out the flyer(PDF, 1MB)

The New Jersey Department of Health is seeking assistance in promoting the New Jersey Behavioral Risk Factor Survey (NJBRFS), a key tool for collecting vital health information to help improve your healthcare system.
Since 1991, the New Jersey Behavioral Risk Factor Survey (NJBRFS), has helped track chronic health conditions, risk behaviors, and the use of preventative health services through the anonymous telephone survey. Each year, 8,000 residents respond to the survey, however many miss the opportunity as many calls go unanswered.
Answer the call when you see, “New Jersey Department of Health” on your caller ID. Phone numbers are randomly selected by NJDOH. They will not ask for any personal identifiable information and the information provided cannot be traced back to the individual participating in the survey.
