SNAP Benefits Program Updates During the Federal Government Shutdown:

The New Jersey Department of Human Services announced today that it issued full November 2025 Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to eligible households on the morning of Friday, November 7.

SNAP recipients are encouraged to first check their Families First EBT cards at NJFamiliesFirst.com or call (800) 997-3333 to confirm they have the updated balances prior to using the benefits.

SNAP benefits loaded on to the Families First EBT cards prior to Oct. 31 remain available for use as well.

New Jersey continues to monitor developments and will continue to provide updates at NJSNAP.gov as needed. Additional assistance for SNAP households during the ongoing federal shutdown is available at NJ.gov/SNAPshutdown.

It remains unclear how long benefits will be impacted.

As a result, several charitable food providers, in partnership with the Morris County Department of Human Services are providing temporary, emergency measures to help individuals and families impacted by the pause on benefits.

WIC: SNAP for Women Infants and Children, commonly known as WIC, remains open at this time. Participants should keep their WIC appointments and continue using their eWIC card at any WIC store.

Work First New Jersey (WFNJ) benefits should be available on time.
