Arrest Made in Netcong Bank Robbery

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and the Borough of Netcong Police Chief James Blesson announce an arrest in the bank robbery that occurred on July 11, 2014 at the Fulton Bank in the Borough of Netcong, New Jersey.
On August 8, 2014, the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced that Frank McBride, age 27, of Scranton, Pennsylvania, was taken into custody that morning by agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and officers from the Scranton Police Department.
McBride has been charged by way of a criminal complaint with bank robbery and interference with commerce by threats or violence (Hobbs Act violation) in connection with telephoned robbery demands and bomb threats to businesses in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.
Among the charges filed against McBride are those related to the bank robbery that occurred on July 11, 2014 at the Fulton Bank in the Borough of Netcong, New Jersey.
McBride was scheduled to make an initial appearance before a magistrate judge on Friday, August 8, 2014 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
In a press release issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, they credited the investigative efforts by the FBI's Scranton Resident Agency, in conjunction with the Scranton, Throop, Mayfield, West Pittston, Exeter, Avoca, and Port Jervis (New York); and Netcong Borough Police Department, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, the Luzerne County District Attorney's Office, and the Lackawanna County District Attorney's Office.
The charges and allegations are merely accusations, and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
