The Morris County Sheriff’s Office Court Services Division is responsible for maintaining security and order within the Morris County courthouse complex, transporting inmates, and serving legal process throughout the county. The division plays a critical role in supporting the administration of justice in Morris County.
Court Services personnel work closely with the judiciary, prosecutors, defense attorneys, and county agencies to ensure the safe and efficient operation of court proceedings. Officers assigned to this division are responsible for the custody and transport of inmates, the safety of court staff and the public, and the enforcement of court orders.
Through its specialized sections, the Court Services Division provides essential support to the justice system while maintaining the safety and dignity of all individuals within its care.

The Protective Services Section is responsible for the security of the Morris County courthouse and all county buildings under the jurisdiction of the Sheriff’s Office. Officers assigned to this section screen all individuals entering court facilities, maintain order during court proceedings, and respond to security incidents. Protective Services personnel also provide dignitary protection and security for special events as needed.
The Morris County Family Justice Center provides comprehensive support services to victims of domestic violence and their families in a safe and coordinated environment. Sheriff’s Office personnel assigned to the Family Justice Center work alongside prosecutors, victim advocates, social service agencies, and other partners to connect victims with the resources and legal protections they need to rebuild their lives.
The Warrants and Special Investigation Section is responsible for locating and apprehending individuals with outstanding warrants throughout Morris County and beyond. Investigators assigned to this section conduct surveillance, coordinate with law enforcement partners, and execute arrest warrants in support of the judicial process. The section also assists with special investigations as directed by command staff.
