NOTICE: On Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026, The Morris County Courthouse Complex, including the Administration & Records Building, and 30 Schuyler Place, will be closed to the public from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. for a security exercise. Normal business hours will resume at 11 a.m.

Update on Investigation into Discovery of Two Bodies in Boonton Pond

On February 23, 2021, the following individuals were located deceased in a pond in the Upper Pond section of Grace Lord Park in Boonton – Warda Syed, female, age 35; and a male child, age 11. An unattended male child, 6, was also located at the scene unharmed. The two juvenile males were determined to be Warda Syed’s children. All three individuals are Boonton residents.
