Body Worn Camera Policy

It is the policy of the Morris County Sheriff’s Office to utilize body worn video/audio recorders to assist agency personnel in the performance of their duties by providing an accurate and unbiased recorded account of an incident. All sworn personnel shall use equipment consistent with manufacturer’s guidelines, Morris County Sheriff’s Office policy, and those policies and/or guidelines issued by the New Jersey Attorney General and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

The Morris County Sheriff’s Office provides Axon Body 3 Cameras to officers.  The image below depicts the camera as it is worn by uniformed officers during the performance of their official duties.
