Pleasant Hill Road in the Flanders section of Mount Olive Township will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday, Aug. 31, after the morning rush hour, as Morris County replaces two bridges over Drakes Brook. The bridge closures will require motorists to follow a signed detour via Reger Road and Ironia Road. Truck traffic will be directed on a separate detour via Furnace Road and Route 206. Preparatory work for the milling and resurfacing of Sussex Turnpike (CR 617) from Dover Chester Road to West Hanover Avenue in Randolph Township will begin on Monday, Aug. 10, 2026. The North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) in partnership with Morris County is investigating alternatives to eliminate the height restriction on NJ Transit's Morristown Line between Denville and Morristown that restricts the movement of Plate “F” Railcars to the Whippany Line.
