Aging, Disabilities & Community Programming

New Jersey was notified by the federal government that if the government shutdown continues, November 2025 Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits may not be available on time. SNAP benefits that were loaded onto your Families First EBT card before October 31, 2025, will remain available for use after November 1. However, before visiting the grocery store, recipients are encouraged to check their balance at NJFamiliesFirst.com or by calling (800) 997-3333. If benefits are available in your account, use them as usual.

Work First New Jersey (WFNJ) benefits should be available on time. Currently, individuals may still apply for SNAP and have their eligibility determined.  Continue to visit NJSNAP.gov for ongoing updates on how the federal shutdown may impact your SNAP and WFNJ benefits.
