SNAP BENEFITS IMPORTANT UPDATE
The New Jersey Department of Human Services announced today that it issued full November 2025 Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to eligible households on the morning of Friday, November 7.
SNAP recipients are encouraged to first check their Families First EBT cards at NJFamiliesFirst.com or call (800) 997-3333 to confirm they have the updated balances prior to using the benefits.
SNAP benefits loaded on to the Families First EBT cards prior to Oct. 31 remain available for use as well.
New Jersey continues to monitor developments and will continue to provide updates at NJSNAP.gov as needed. Additional assistance for SNAP households during the ongoing federal shutdown is available at NJ.gov/SNAPshutdown.
EMERGENCY FOOD RESOURCES
Grant Request for Proposal (RFP) for 2026 Area Plan Contract Funding is now available.
Proposals are available for downloading from the NJ Bidnet System or may be picked up on or after Wednesday, July 10, 2025 at the Morris County Purchasing Division during regular business hours. Applications are due by July 31, 2025 at 11:00am. For more information, click HERE(PDF, 606KB).
The Morris County Office on Aging, Disabilities and Community Programming is committed to assisting seniors, individuals with disabilities, Veterans and caregivers in meeting the needs of the community. In order to do this and to plan for 2026, we are requesting your input. Please help us in this endeavor by completing this Needs Assessment. Responses are confidential and results will be tallied and used for planning purposes. The link to the survey can be found HERE.
We provide information, referrals and direct client assistance for older adults, persons with disabilities, veterans and caregivers.
Many of these services are provided by our office, State and County Agencies, and in partnership with non-profit and community organizations.
The Morris County Board of County Commissioners, the Older Americans Act, and the State of New Jersey are responsible for much of the funding for these programs.
