Morris County's Vietnam Vets

The 2nd Bn, 16th Infantry crossing a tributary of the Song Be River.

The United States sent Military Advisor Assistant Groups (MAAG) into the region of Vietnam beginning in 1955. These U.S. forces were sent to train the South Vietnamese Army to fight Communist forces and gather intelligence - seven years before the official entry into Vietnam on February 28, 1961.

Prior to U.S. military involvement in Afghanistan (2001-2021), the Vietnam War was the longest conflict in American military history.

This original list of Morris County Vietnam veterans was published March 29, 2022, in honor of National Vietnam War Veterans Day.
